Contact promotion activity search filter
It is possible to identify and group contacts based on their promotion activity. To do, you can use the contact advanced search.
You will find 'Promotion activity' under the list of contact search filter groups (when you click '...' to select your search filter).
The following table details what search filter options you will find and their purpose.

A count of the number of promotions applied. If a promotion name, subtype and or type is added to the search/rule group query then the count will be specific to an individual promotion, promotions of a particular subtype or promotions of a particular type. For example: “Promotion count = 2” as a search would return all contacts who have had 2 promotions applied. “Promotion count = 2 AND Promotion type = Issue points” as a search would return all contacts who have had 2 “Issue points” promotions applied. |

Example searches using promotion activity
The above promotion activity attributes can support a number of different search and rule queries. Below are two common uses which demonstrate how the different attributes can be combined.
- Ability to identify contacts who have had at least X promotions of a particular type (or subtype) applied across a particular time period.
- Ability to identify contacts who have had multiple applications of the same promotion across a particular time period.
Contact promotion activity
The promotion activity tab in a contact record shows all promotions that a contact has had applied to a transaction.
The table of “Applied promotions” contains the following columns.
