When a contact is deleted, or restored from the recycle bin, a action reason is added to the contact record, Under the 'Notes section'.
However, you may wish to change the default 'reason'.
To change this:
- Click in the top-right corner, then select 'Contact action reasons' from the left-hand menu.
- Type in the 'Reason'.
- Select 'Restore' or 'Delete'.
- Select 'Account settings' from the left-hand menu. If you don't have access to this, you'll need to get in touch.
- Select 'General'.
- In the right-hand list, you'll need to update 'Default deletion reason' and 'Default restoration reason'. To do so, click to the right, then select your new contact action reason from the drop-down list.
